Tell us about yourself.

Hello! I live in the south of Spain, where I develop my production. I have not studied at art school, I work on a self-taught basis.

I love nature, doing graffiti, practicing sports like cycling, I also like watching anime series or movies. In my free time I love to go to the beach, it is a place where I can dive, draw or play soccer with friends. Luckily the weather here is usually very good all year round.

Where did your passion for art begin?

It really all started when I was 13 years old. In my first days of high school, the classmate who sat next to me was writing his signature on the table, he was putting ‘Chek’, at that moment I decided to look for my name and the first one that came to my mind was ‘Back’. I paint graffiti constantly since then and it was in 2017 when I began to be interested in art. I started to paint differently on the street, since I began to have other types of interests, at the same time I started to paint works in my studio.

How would you describe your work to someone?

My works are figurative. I usually paint people in different situations, trying to represent the things that interest me at the time, or those that I really feel a need to represent.

What are you currently working on?

Currently I am painting a series of canvases with acrylic using airbrush, I have tried to paint in many ways but this way of painting right now is the one I feel most comfortable with.

When you start a new work or project, do you plan what you’re going to create or do you improvise?

I usually plan how I am going to paint the new works, I make a lot of drawings and sketches that help me develop new forms, compositions or ideas. When I have made few sketches I review and choose which one I am going to paint on a canvas. when I start to paint it, I am not usually clear about how they are going to end, in the process new ideas always arise or problems that have to be solved.

Can you highlight some of your influences and discuss how your influences have made an impact on you and your practice?

I like too many things, I love the paintings of Eleanor Swordy, Robin F. Williams, Austin Lee or Mike Lee,. There are too many painters I could name. I am continually discovering wonderful painters from all over the world on the internet. Some of the things that inspire me are anime series, I love Steins Gate series and also Serial Experiments Lain.

What are your plans for the remainder of this year?

As I always continue painting and trying to evolve my painting, I really want to show you the works that I am doing.
